Kawa Of Care Expectations

In class we learnt about the rules that we should be following when using your netbook , so we decided to make a presentation about the four main things that we have to follow when either going on our chromes or placing it in the right areas. Here's mine :)

Maritime Museum

Last week we took a trip to Maritime Museum , we were put in groups of 4 to 5 and we were given certain objects to find as well as taking a photo with the items. Room 13 , 12 & 11 went on the trip & all of us had a great time & I'd have to say one of my favorite moments was when the cannon was shot at 12:00 but here are a few photos :))

Sugar Experiment

Yesterday in Room 11 we did an experiment in groups estimating how much sugar we think is in our everyday foods & drinks. We were all put in groups of 3 to 4 , and we all took part in the sugar experiment. Room 11 had to present it in a way where they used their creativity so they could present there pieces of work in the best way possible. All of Room 11's students had a great time doing the sugar experiment. Here's a few photos :)

Never Give Up - Dream

In class we watched a motivational video about never giving up on your dreams and inspiring students and children to believe in themselves so they can achieve their goals. Watching this video defenitly inspired me to give 100% in everything I do and to make sure I never doubt myself when trying to achieve anything in life. The video also mentioned what Shakespeare had said in the past about "Doubts are traitors" giving our young generation a understanding of why chasing your dreams and not trying to fit into society is the best way. Making sure that your accomplishing all of your goals and doing what you want to do in the future , the main point of this video is to NEVER GIVE UP !! Here's the video :))

Report Writing !

One of our focuses for Writing this term was Report Writing so last week, We were given newspapers to cut pictures out of. Reason being any of the photos that we cut out would be used to put in our writing books, so that we could write reports about them. We learnt about what we are supposed to add in a report, as well as the main keys that reporters always add in their writing pieces. We wrote down what we need to include in our reports and what a report is so we understand what it is and our writing is better. 

Everything we've been learning about report writing all leads up to making our own writing pieces in the future !. Here's a few tips on how to make a great report piece of writing

Anzac Letter

A few weeks ago our main focus was based off of Anzac day, Room 11 decided to make their very own Anzac Letters. Made to be written to family members/Care takers, We also created Anzac Artwork relating to everything that we currently know about Anzac Day. Here's mine !

Dear Beloved Parents,

I’ve been here for a month now, and being completely honest I hate it here. All of the bruised and tired soldiers I see stumbling around, praying and hoping they could make it out alive but most of them never have a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones.

I’ve seen the unimaginable, so I do not wish to talk about my experience for it is too horrific to even think about. I think about the both of you every second of the day, and I truly wish that everything is going to be alright for the both of us.

I do not know when i’ll be back or when this will be over,so please do not worry or fear for me because everything will be okay. We’ve already lost a few men along the way, there were bits and pieces of body parts everywhere, just like a slaughterhouse! Arms, livers my mind was permanently bruised.

Gunshots heard from miles away, everybody crawling into their trenches waiting for the last Post. Only yesterday we lost one of our best men, lying down blood drooling out of his mouth. For about a minute everybody stood there quietly and stared at him. When I get the chance I will write many more letters. I refuse to say goodbye because this is not goodbye, so I love you both and I will see you soon.

Play Dough !
