Sea Wall

Every Monday in class, we do quick write. We write a little 4 to 6 sentence story about an image that we are given by the teacher then 3 students or so will read their piece of work to the class, here's one of my writing pieces.

He was the last one standing, the rest of the sailors were already 5 feet under water. He was shivering, he only felt the cold breeze flowing throughout his uniform .. unsure of what to do only thinking about how much time he had left before the ship would of been completely under water. The sea was still, complete silence the seawater began to rise & it wouldn’t stop. All fell down, the ship as well as all of the sailors did not survive.

I am poem

In class we had the choice to either create an I am poem, or a bio poem. I chose to make an I am poem, here it is :)

I wonder what career i'm going to have after i attend college

I see children in my future

I want to try my best since it’s my last year in intermediate so i have options for college

I hear my parents everyday telling me to prioritize my learning

I pretend i like math *i really don’t*

I feel joy when i get over 80 answers right in my spelling test

I touch the rugby ball when im playing ‘held’

I worry that i will struggle throughout college

I cry when someone so smart decides to leave the littlest amount of milk
back in the bottle once their done :(

I understand that not everything is going to go my way

I say i would rather do writing all day instead of doing math for one block

I dream about what i’m going to eat for breakfast the following day

I hope camp is fun

Kawa Of Care Expectations

In class we learnt about the rules that we should be following when using your netbook , so we decided to make a presentation about the four main things that we have to follow when either going on our chromes or placing it in the right areas. Here's mine :)

Maritime Museum

Last week we took a trip to Maritime Museum , we were put in groups of 4 to 5 and we were given certain objects to find as well as taking a photo with the items. Room 13 , 12 & 11 went on the trip & all of us had a great time & I'd have to say one of my favorite moments was when the cannon was shot at 12:00 but here are a few photos :))

Sugar Experiment

Yesterday in Room 11 we did an experiment in groups estimating how much sugar we think is in our everyday foods & drinks. We were all put in groups of 3 to 4 , and we all took part in the sugar experiment. Room 11 had to present it in a way where they used their creativity so they could present there pieces of work in the best way possible. All of Room 11's students had a great time doing the sugar experiment. Here's a few photos :)

Never Give Up - Dream

In class we watched a motivational video about never giving up on your dreams and inspiring students and children to believe in themselves so they can achieve their goals. Watching this video defenitly inspired me to give 100% in everything I do and to make sure I never doubt myself when trying to achieve anything in life. The video also mentioned what Shakespeare had said in the past about "Doubts are traitors" giving our young generation a understanding of why chasing your dreams and not trying to fit into society is the best way. Making sure that your accomplishing all of your goals and doing what you want to do in the future , the main point of this video is to NEVER GIVE UP !! Here's the video :))

Report Writing !

One of our focuses for Writing this term was Report Writing so last week, We were given newspapers to cut pictures out of. Reason being any of the photos that we cut out would be used to put in our writing books, so that we could write reports about them. We learnt about what we are supposed to add in a report, as well as the main keys that reporters always add in their writing pieces. We wrote down what we need to include in our reports and what a report is so we understand what it is and our writing is better. 

Everything we've been learning about report writing all leads up to making our own writing pieces in the future !. Here's a few tips on how to make a great report piece of writing
