Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW)

This week our class has been learning all about mental health and how we can take care of our own, we had discussed what challenges we face as students, how we can deal with these challenges etc. Here's mine!

What is mental health about?

Mental health includes our physical, emotional and social well being. Our mental health can affect how we act towards others, handle stress and make choices. By taking care of our mental health we have to prioritise our emotional and mental needs

What challenges do we face as students?

As a student we sometimes feel overwhelmed with the amount of work that we’re given from our teachers, not only can students struggle mentally but because of certain pressures we feel from school we also end up struggling academically.

How can you deal with these challenges?

Many students have suggested listening to music because it can help you to feel more relaxed and calm, others have said it’s best to talk to a trusted adult about these situations. It all depends on the person them self and what solution they think is best.
